Northeast Cove Geodomes

It was our first time experiencing a Geodome and we would definitely do it again.The location is a little piece of heaven . Beautiful views of the water and the mountain's.We had a beautiful evening sitting o the deck watching the eagle fly back and forth and on our last night we got to see both Eagles in the trees.Danny and Lorna have thought about every little detail to make your trip more enjoyable..We highly recommend Northeast Cove Geodomes and we will be back .

From my first conversation with Danny to the moment we packed up and left our experience at the Northeast Cove Geodomes was nothing less than wonderful!Before making the booking I spoke with the owner, Danny and he was pleasant and patient in answering all my questions and concerns. We had to check in pretty late in the evening but Danny made sure our arrival was as easy as possible..and comfortable.The domes take glamping to a totally different level. All the comforts of home while staying as close to the outdoors as possible. Clean, simple and comfortable. Danny and Lorna's attention to detail in the decor make all the difference and that view from your bed is pretty unbeatable. As a host, Danny was always available and so accommodating.We will definitely stay here if/when we come back to Cape Breton!

Really enjoyed this stay/experience! Though located around many nature attractions, I highly recommend taking it easy and enjoying what the domes have to offer. The place was prepped with everything one would need for such a stay. The location was also very convenient for relaxing after an activity heavy couple of days on the Cabot Trail (travelling counter-clockwise). There a freshmart 2 min drive as well to get groceries and other needs for the stay. The host was very helpful and responsive.Although it can get really cold at night and really warm around noon (due to sunlight), the heat pump unit’s temperature can be adjusted to keep a comfortable temperature.

Danny’s got a special spot here with these super cool domes. Right on a beautiful inlet of water on the Mabou Harbour road. The pictures don’t give the full effect of the location and scenery. Such a beauty view of the water from inside and outside the domes. Bald eagles were cruising around everyday. We stayed in dome 3 but the domes are staggered in such a way that everyone gets a great view. The place was spotless when we arrived and check in was a breeze. Danny has kayaks and stand up paddle boards available for you to use whenever you want. We were reallyimpressed with the whole set up, and now I’m obsessed with domes haha.Fantastic spot, would love to get back there!

These Geodomes are nothing short of amazing. It holds a beautiful interior, with just as beautiful view of the Mabou Harbour right from your deck. The furniture was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for the night provided for us (kitchen supplies, A/C, etc…). The hosts were very kind and thoughtful making sure we had everything we needed to ensure a comfortable stay! Could not recommend it more.

Such a wonderful place to stay! The view over the water is spectacular, especially during sunset! Perfect area to swim, kayak, or just relax on the dock. Mabou is a beautiful area with lots to see and do, all nearby to the Geodomes.The interior was just as stunning as the outside! Very decorative and cozy, with everything you could possibly need! The amount of thought and consideration put into the design is easy to see.Danny and Lorna are delightful hosts, who will do anything they can to ensure your stay is exceptional. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!

These geodomes are beautiful! Extremely clean, very well kept and the heat pump was a big plus. We loved our 2-night stay here. It was awesome to have kayaks and other watercraft available for guests to use. The view from the dome was gorgeous, especially with the fall colours. Definitely would recommend staying here!

The dome was so sweet. They are strategically placed for maximum privacy. Your vista is just across the water with hills of grazing cows. Kitchen was very well appointed. The Red Shoe pub nearby had tasty food and great live music. We would definitely recommend this special place.

We had such a wonderful time staying here! It was even better in person! The dome was such a peaceful and relaxing stay with super comfy mattresses! Breathtaking view of the mountains and water. We loved it so much we added a fourth night to our stay. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks Danny for such a cool experience!

We were in dome 4, closest to the water. We watched the sunset with the eagle in his tree and the beaver swimming by. We felt very private.Danny was a wonderful host who answered many, many questions, was helpful in removing the bee that had gotten trapped inside our dome and gave us better directions to local sites than the guide books.Our dome was very comfortable - cool enough in the heat of the afternoon and warm enough at night - due to the heat pump /air conditioner that the dome had. There was a lot of very responsive hot water and the kitchen was small but well equipped.We hope to visit the geodomes again and visit with Danny on our next trip to Cape Breton.
